Piece of the Flying Wing – Raiders of the Lost Ark

A piece of the Flying Wing from Steven Speilberg’s adventure classic, Raiders of the Lost Ark. The Flying Wing was a fictional aircraft designed and built specifically for the film, by Vickers Co, the same company that manufactures the Rolls-Royce automobile. The one and only plane was actually blown up during production, and remnants of it were left in the desert. This particular piece was recovered at the exact site of shooting–outside Tozuer, Tunisia in 2001. Made from fiberglass, the piece has been painted to match the rest of the plane, however some of the paint has worn off due to it’s time in the desert following the destruction of the plane.

A fantastic artifact from this classic Indiana Jones film. This piece shows notable wear but remains in otherwise good condition and measure approx. 8″ (20cm) in length.
