Planet of the Apes (2001) – Captain Leo Davidson Survival Pack

Original survival pack used in the production of the 2001 Tim Burton remake Planet of the Apes. Astronaut Leo Davidson whips through space and time to a world where apes and gorillas rule the humans. Captured, he is nurtured by Ari and hunted by General Thade as he leads a rebel group of humans and chimpanzees in search of his downed craft. This is his only hope of escape and, ironically, the planet’s only hope of shaking off the tyranny of the gorillas, allowing peaceful humans and chimpanzees to co-exist.

Captain Davidson can be seen swimming into a lake to retrieve this pack, which carried his beacon locator and pistol. This pack is made of canvas and is white in color and has been heavily distressed by the production. The pack opened up four ways and is secured by small metal push clasps. The back features an attached sling is is filled with hard packing material to keep its shape. This item shows slight wear from use in the film but remains in excellent, production used condition.
