The Lord of the Rings – The One Ring Wide Production Prototype

A wide One Ring prototype from the production of Peter Jackson’s fantasy epic Lord of the Rings trilogy. Many sought the alluring power of Dark Lord Sauron’s (Sala Baker) One Ring, which Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) journeyed across Middle Earth to destroy.

This silver-colour metal ring and a black velvet drawstring bag featuring the logo of the late New Zealand-based jeweler Jens Hansen, who was commissioned to design and make the One Ring for the film. This is one of several different designs that were created before the final design was approved. The ring measures 1″ x 1″ x 1/2″ (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm) and is in excellent overall condition with minimal wear from age and handling. A fantastic piece of film history from a very successful film franchise.
