A bar of Wonka’s Nutty Crunch Surprise from Tim Burton’s 2005 adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Eccentric genius chocolate maker Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp) holds a competition where five lucky children will win the chance to venture inside his mysterious chocolate factory. Poor but kind Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore) catches an unexpected break as one of the winners of Wonka’s Golden Tickets.
Nutty Crunch Surprise chocolate bars were used in multiple scenes, most notably in the opening sequence where Willy Wonka’s production machines are putting wrappers on chocolate bars and hiding Golden Tickets in some of them. The chocolate itself is made of plastic and features 14 ‘Wonka’ stamps on each indented piece and is wrapped in silver foil and encased in a glossy paper wrapper. The reverse shows detailed information nutritional value, ingredients and a barcode. The piece has very minor, light marks but remains in excellent from production-used condition.
