Thor: The Dark World – Thor Mjollnir Handle

Mjollnir Handle Section used in the filming of the Marvel Studios superhero sequel Thor: The Dark World. When the Dark Elves attempt to plunge the universe into darkness, Thor must embark on a perilous and personal journey that will reunite him with doctor Jane Foster.

During filming there were various types of hammers used such as a hero closeup, resin version and lighter version made from rubber and foam such as this piece, which was used in the film but broke apart from the main hammer section during filming which you can clearly see at the top of the handle. This piece is made of a resin material with a hole in the top where a metal rod would run down the center for weight and stability. The handle features cast in detailing and has been painted brown with silver accents and a real leather strap at the end. This piece remains in excellent, production used condition.
