Obi-Wan Lightsaber from Star Wars: Episode I

Ewan McGregor “Obi-Wan Kenobi” lightsaber from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. This resin light saber is hand-painted in silver with black accents and a central red static switch as used by McGregor. This lightsaber is seen used by Obi-Wan Kenobi throughout the film including the spectacular fight near the end of the film with Darth Maul after Qui-Gon is killed. The threaded rod is still in place to attach and easily replace the correctly fitted aluminum blades that would later be digitally animated over in post production. This rigging system was created so that only the blade would need to be replaced after suffering damage from on-set dueling. This lightsaber is mounted on a custom acrylic display measuring approx. 12″ (30cm) in total height.
