Original DARPA Wrist Cannon used in the production of the 2015 comedy Pixels. When aliens intercept video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack Earth, using the games as models. Knowing that he must employ a similar strategy, President Will Cooper (Kevin James) recruits his childhood pal, former video-game champ and home-theater installer Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), to lead a team of old-school arcade players and a military specialist (Michelle Monaghan) in an all-out battle to save the planet.
This DARPA wrist light cannon was featured alongside other “Centipede” weapons in the film to defend against the alien invaders. Constructed of aluminum, urethane and resin parts, with nylon straps, swivel handle is painted silver, black and incredibly detailed. Measures approximately 12.5″ x 6.5″ x 6.5″ (31.75cm x 16.51cm x 16.51cm). Used during the final battle against the Donkey Kong. Exhibits some light production use but remains in overall good condition.
