Stargate (1994) – Large Scale Hero “Ra” Cheops Class Pyramid Warship

Large scale hero “Ra” Cheops class Pyramid Warship miniature with base and alternate “capstone” from the 1994 film Stargate . This original filming model miniature Pyramid spacecraft constructed of cast fiberglass with boxed steel substructure and other composite materials assembled over wood and multi-media with fiber optic wiring throughout. Ship panels are expertly sculpted with extraordinary detail depicting Egyptian hieroglyphics painted to appear metallic. Elaborate internal electric motor-driven mechanism moved the panels up and down during production (electronics untested).

The Pyramid Warship comes with separate “capstone” used for the alternate ship configuration measuring 26″ x 31.5″ (66cm 80cm). This Egyptian-themed ship is mounted atop the original Giza pyramid base (onto which the concave ship landed in the film). Ra’s Pyramid ship served as the focal point for this groundbreaking Sci-Fi/Action film which spawned a highly successful television franchise.

Measuring approx. 12.5 x 12.5 x 9 x 12.5 ft. (3.8m x 2.7m x 3.8m) this monumental filming miniature represents the state of the art in practical effects – a craft that has been diminished by the advancements of CGI. Exhibiting production wear and with internal fiber optics present but wiring has been cut. Some chips on the bottom of each section and some panels are loose or missing. In production used good condition.
