Original “Death Watch” helmet used in the production of the 2019 series The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian, alternatively titled as Star Wars: The Mandalorian is a live-action space western Star Wars television series developed by Lucasfilm. The series takes place about five years after the events of the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi and about twenty-five years before the events of the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and airs exclusively on Disney’s streaming service, Disney+.
The Death Watch, known as Kyr’tsad in Mando’a, was a Mandalorian terrorist splinter group of warriors that opposed the pacifist government of Mandalore and were featured as members of Bo Katana team throughout season 2 of the series. This helmet is made of fiberglass and features a multicolored paint scheme consisting of the signature blue of the Night Watch with a darker and lighter blue and purple accents. The helmet features a smoked black acrylic visor, movable antenna section and the piece features a padded layer for the protection of the actor while wearing it. There is a sewn in nylon tag from the company that created the helmets, “Legacy” present. The piece has been weathered and distressed by the production to appear aged and worn. This item remains in excellent, production used condition.
