The Mandalorian (2019) – Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) Imperial Armor

Imperial chest armor used in the production of the Disney + series The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian, alternatively titled as Star Wars: The Mandalorian is a live-action space western Star Wars television series developed by Lucasfilm. The series takes place about five years after the events of the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi and about twenty-five years before the events of the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and airs exclusively on Disney’s streaming service, Disney+.

This chest armor was used in the second ad third season of the series and was the email attire of Moff Gideon, actor Giancarlo Esposito. This armor features the chest, back and two shoulder sections, all cast in a polyurethane that is tinted black in color. The armor features intricate cast in details on the chest area around the abdomen and the shoulder straps. The shoulder bells are separate and would have been directly attached to the costume underneath. This costume is presented on a custom styrofoam bust with a back felt base. This piece was custom made for the actor and remains in excellent, production used condition.
