Set of original Asguardian handcuffs used in the production of the 2013 Marvel Studios film Thor: The Dark World. In ancient times, the gods of Asgard fought and won a war against an evil race known as the Dark Elves. The survivors were neutralized, and their ultimate weapon — the Aether — was buried in a secret location. Hundreds of years later, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) finds the Aether and becomes its host, forcing Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to bring her to Asgard before Dark Elf Malekith (Christopher Eccleston) captures her and uses the weapon to destroy the Nine Realms — including Earth.
These cuffs were used on Loki, actor Tom Hiidleston while he was incarcerated in Asgard for his role in the first Avengers film. These are made from urethane and foam and feature two round cuff sections, each adorned with cast in rune details. The cuff sections are held together with a urethane sectioned detail. The cuffs are painted gold with silver accents and have been weathered by the production to appear aged. This set shows signs of wear such as scuffs and scratches in the paint, but remain in excellent, production used condition.
