Blade 2 (2002) – Blade Hero Sword

Original sword used by the title character of Blade, actor Wesley Snipes in the 2002 Marvel superhero sequel Blade 2. Exploding from the pages of Marvel Comics comes the thrilling follow-up to the blockbuster “Blade.” Half Man … half vampire, and consumed by a desire to avenge the curse of his birth and save the human race from a blood-drenched Armageddon. In this newest action-packed adventure, Blade (Wesley Snipes) is forced to team up with the very vampires he hates in order to overcome a new type of monster which threatens to eradicate both races.

This signature sword can be seen throughout the film as the main weapon of choice of the Daywalker. This piece features a real metal blade, silver in color and has been dulled on each side so the blade would not hurt the actors during filming. The handle is cast in resin and features an octagon style look with a round pommel and engraved with vampiric runes. The handle is black inc olio with with a faux-silver dry brush used to make the hilt look aged. This piece measures around 44” in length and remains in excellent, production used condition.
