Hannibal’s “Prosciutto Roses” recipe card and other recipe cards from “Futamono” episode 206 of NBC’s award-winning drama Hannibal. Gifted criminal profiler Will Graham has a unique way of thinking that allows him to empathize with anyone, including psychopaths. But while helping the FBI pursue a particularly complicated serial killer, he decides he could use some help and enlists the brilliant psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter. The two form a partnership and it seems that there is no villain they can’t catch together, but Lecter harbors a dark secret. His own brilliant mind has gone to the dark side and he has more in common with the criminals they hunt than Will could possibly imagine.
As a gourmand, Hannibal has a very refined and specific taste as demonstrated in the many lavish recipes found in his recipe box. The “Prosciutto Roses” recipe cards match one’s seen on screen in the episode. Including the aforementioned card, this set includes ten cards in total. Two of the other cards in the set describe recipes featured on the show, “Beef Roulande” and “Parmesean Crumbled Lambis Brains.” These and the other seven in the set were likely used to fill the connoisseur’s collection of questionable culinary formulas. Each recipe features ingredients such as lambs brains and mutton on the front side, and cooking directions on the back side. This set of cards remains in excellent, production used condition.
