Elysium (2013) – Carlyle Pistol

Original pistol made for use in the production of the 2013 science fiction film Elysium. In the year 2154, humanity is sharply divided between two classes of people: The ultrarich live aboard a luxurious space station called Elysium, and the rest live a hardscrabble existence in Earth’s ruins. His life hanging in the balance, a man named Max (Matt Damon) agrees to undertake a dangerous mission that could bring equality to the population, but Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) vows to preserve the pampered lifestyle of Elysium’s citizens, no matter what the cost.

This piece was made for use by John Carlyle, actor William Fitchner but ultimately cut from the final draft of the film. This pistol was created to reflect the characters higher status, hence the gold patina and ivory handles. This item is constructed over working full metal airlift Glock and is made of resin in the form of a clamshell that encompasses the gun underneath. The slide and main body are painted gold and the handle painted an off white. The entire gun has intricately cast inn details and has been expertly weathered by the production to look aged. This item was originally sold in the studio sanctioned auction and remains in excellent, production made condition.
