Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) – Hero Starfleet Phaser

Original Starfleet Phaser used in the production of the JJ Abrams science fiction sequel Star Trek Into Darkness. The crew of the Starship Enterprise returns home after an act of terrorism within its own organization destroys most of Starfleet and what it represents, leaving Earth in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Capt. James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) leads his people (Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoë Saldana) on a mission to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction, thereby propelling all of them into an epic game of life and death.

These phasers were used in the original 2009 film and re-introduced in Into Darkness as the main sidearm of Starfleet, and can be seen throughout the film. This is a hero piece, featuring a functioning animatronic barrel that moves from Stun to Kill with a push of a button on the side of the handle. The phaser itself is made of resin and metal with a chromed handle section and anodized red barrel. The top cowl is removable where a small battery would be held to power the unit (not included). The top of the phaser features a light up panel with movable thumb wheel. This item shows slight wear form use in the film but remains in excellent condition. This item does not include the battery pack.
