Jaeger Battery – Pacific Rim

A Jaeger Battery from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. This large battery is made of dense Styrofoam, sculpted into a hollow cylinder. There is a layer of fiberglass to create the hard exterior, painted varying shades of green. The battery features white decals painted white on its shell that include the PPDC symbol, a series of numbers and letters, and Chinese characters. At one time, the battery housed lights and electronics, but these are no longer present. The top and bottom caps of the battery can be removed to reveal a hollow interior. The battery shows some wear due to production use and storage, but is in overall good condition. The piece measures 21” x 21” x 85” (53 cm x 53 cm x 216 cm).
