The Monster (2016) – The Monster’s (Chris Webb) Mask

The Monster’s (Chris Webb) mask from the 2016 independent horror film The Monster written and directed by Bryan Bertino, and starring Zoe Kazan and Ella Ballentine. Its plot follows a troubled mother and her adolescent daughter who find themselves stranded at night on a country road with a malicious creature hunting them.

This custom-made Monster’s mask is incredibly well detailed and fabricated by the Academy Award®-winning special effects group Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. (ADI),  Made of black foam rubber which has been hand-painted. Featuring translucent urethane eyes and stained resin teeth. The Mask is pinned at the base to a fiberglass and heavily stained production used bust. Measuring approximately 20″ × 20″ × 23″ (50.8cm × 50.8cm × 58.42cm), with some signs of age this mask remains in very good condition overall.
